Stalen rooster

Steel Grating heeft twee oppervlaktetypes: gekarteld oppervlak en glad oppervlak. Gekarteld stalen rooster is gemaakt van gekartelde stalen staven, dit kunnen stalen staven met een laag koolstofgehalte, aluminium stalen staven en roestvrijstalen staven zijn. De gekartelde stalen staven zijn gelast, met een druk vergrendeld, met klinknagels vastgezet of met klinknagels verbonden om verschillende soorten stalen roosters te vormen.

Gewoon stalen rooster, ook wel glad oppervlakrooster genoemd, is een soort rooster gemaakt van gewone stalen staven. Het gladde oppervlak contrasteert met het gekartelde stalen rooster, dat een gekarteld oppervlak heeft. Gewoon stalen rooster is het meest gebruikte roostertype en wordt in vrijwel alle toepassingen gebruikt.
